Call for Performers for AGM
DanceNL will be holding our 2013 Annual General Meeting on Monday June 10th at the Second Space at the LSPU Hall, starting at 7 PM. This AGM is scheduled to be short and sweet and to address our new year end dates. The short and sweet AGM will be followed by a social with food and wine and performances by DanceNL members. We are calling for short performances that will suit the space – show us what you have been doing, showcase your stuff, show off! Performances pay a $50 honorarium. Please send a brief proposal including details of your performance by Monday May 13 to: info@dancenl.ca

Call For Nominations
- Roberta Thomas Legacy Award
The Roberta Thomas Legacy Award was established by her family as a way to continue Robbie’s infectious human spirit by supporting development and presentation in the field of dance and dance collaboration. DEADLINE: July 1, 2013. Interested applicants should apply with the following information:
– A one to two page letter describing what you intend to do, who you will work with, and how this project will acknowledge Robbie’s legacy
– A brief budget note informing the jury how much money you require and how the money will be spent (the total award is up to $1000)
– a short biography
– Applicants must be residents of Newfoundland and Labrador

Arts and the City – Cultivating Connections
A City of St. John’s sponsored conference involving artists, cultural workers, government, business and community will be held on May 24th and 25 at City Hall. Space is limited. For registration information call 576.2563 or email arts@stjohns.ca
Call for Performers – Music at Harbourside – City of St. John’s Lunchtime Concert Series
Music at Harbourside is a series of outdoor lunchtime concerts that take place every Friday in July and August at Harbourside Park in downtown St. John’s. Concerts run from 12:30pm to 1:30pm, and are great fun!
Submissions should include:
* A bio of the musician or group, including full contact information
* a CD or DVD of your material (no USB sticks or links to online material – we won’t be
able to review these)
* a stage plot, or a list of all performers, instruments, and sound equipment requirements
* a list of which Fridays in July and August you are available to perform.
Submissions must be received by 4:30 PM on Wednesday, May 15. Mail or hand-deliver to the Department of Economic Development, Tourism & Culture, 348 Water Street. A jury will review submissions and successful musicians/groups will be contacted with more information. For more information: 709-576-2563 or arts@stjohns.ca.
