Dance Artist & Archivist

Jennifer Lynn Dick she/her, is an independent dance artist: performer, choreographer, teacher, writer, administrator, and archivist.

After graduating from the School of Toronto Dance Theatre she joined Desrosiers Dance Theatre,1990-2000, creating new works and touring nationally and internationally. From 2003-2008 she joined MoonHorse Dance Theatre creating and touring This Castle. Jennifer has worked in theatre productions, film, and music videos. She’s collaborated with many Canadian independent dance artists receiving grants from the TAC and the OAC. Jennifer completed her Masters in Dance from York University in 2016 focusing her research on contextualizing the ephemeral artifacts of a dead dance company with the embodied archive of a dancer. She taught Dance History and Theory for Centennial College’s Dance Performance Program from 2016-2018. She currently teaches somatic movement practice and is studying in the Consent Forward Artist Program with IDC.
