DanceNL is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting and supporting all forms of dance and dance activity in Newfoundland and Labrador. Our membership is made up of individuals and organizations including professional dancers, dance schools and instructors, social dance clubs, dance scholars, academics, enthusiasts and audience members representing a broad spectrum of dance activity. There are no pre-requisites for joining DanceNL – all members of the dance community are welcome.

Support Dance

DanceNL welcomes into its membership anyone who is involved in any aspect of dance (independent artists, organizations, performers, teachers, choreographers, scholars, social dancers, writers, arts administrators, etc.).

Whether as a hired artist, or as a participant who enjoys discounted rates, members are at the forefront of DanceNL’s programming initiatives.

Members in the DanceNL network enjoy increased visibility and connectivity–share your dance news and events with peers and community members and get plugged in to the dance conversation happening provincially and beyond.

Voting privileges

Individual, Not-for-Profit and Business Organizational members enjoy voting privileges at our AGMs as well as the ability to run for the Board of Directors and/or sit on committees.

Canadian Dance Assembly (CDA) Membership Opt-In – DanceNL Individual members may choose to opt-in to a CDA membership as they renew their yearly membership.  Those individuals signing up for a CDA membership through DanceNL receive a rate of $20 for dance artists and $30 for dance managers and administrators. Students may also join for a yearly fee of $10.  Please see here to determine eligibility for membership in CDA.
